		<description>Thanks so much for this tutorial. Although I see smocking on a daily basis (I&#039;m a technical designer), I have never dabbled in it. Something about elastic was always tricky but this tutorial makes it less scary looking.</description>

You are supposed to make it out of KNIT (stretchy comfy fabric), but I really wanted it in gingham. So....my advice...stick to the pattern&#039;s suggested material and your current measurements :) Not the measurements of a month ago.</description>
